Passionate About Well Being

Making a conscious choice to focus on my well being changed my life in countless positive ways.  Until then, I had been suffering from chronic stress disorder, burn out at work, and was deep in the midst of a spiraling drinking problem I couldn't find my way out of.

 

Then, I began on a life journey that not only turned my personal life around, but it also turned around how I behaved and interacted with my colleagues at work.  I consciously decided to make life and work choices that focused on being in positive environments, interacting with the world in productive ways, offering compassion for myself and others, and honoring my authentic self.   Along the way, I devised a program that focused on 12 principles for creating a life of well being.  

The thing is that most of don't learn these principles in life, in fact, we often develop poor life skills and coping mechanisms.  This impacts not only our personal lives, but our professional lives.  Too often, we neglect ourselves and even more often the companies we work for don't pay attention to creating and sustaining a work culture where employee well being is a focus.  Companies that aren't focused on how to help their employees thrive, often find themselves with less productive employees, toxic working environments, talent attrition, and employeees who feel disempowered and disconnected.  All this means is that employees aren't living up to their truest potential for helping the organization achieve its business goals.    


My goal is to change all this for the better.  To help others change their personal lives and to help corporations to create work cultures that focus on well being and employee happiness as something that makes good business sense and positively impacts the bottom line.  I've developed specific work programs based off the 12 principles of well being, such as Meditation at Work, Creating Psychological Safety in Teams, Establishing Good Work/Life Balance Practices, Leveraging Diversity and Strengths for Team Success, Developing Connected Leadership Characteristics, Cultivating Creativity at Work, and others.

 

It's time that individuals fully realize their intrinsic worth and create a life focused on their well being.  And, it's time that companies of all sizes truly realize how to inspire the most out of their greatest asset -- their people.  

Certifications
  • I'm a certified instructional designer and educator, which means I know how to design curricula that has impact and gets results and I know how to engage students for maximum participation.  

  • I'm a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), which means I know how to build a robust plan for action and can build a plan that manages the constraints of any schedule, time, and resources.  

Qualifications
  • 20 years building and executing corporate education programs for Fortune 500 companies.

  • 20 years teaching university-level courses in various subjects.

  • Author of books and online courses in well being.
